Chang's new year visit puts the gossip to rest
MANY stars came to Shanghai to celebrate the new year and the list this year included Taiwanese singer and actress Angela Chang.
The 26-year-old singer is very popular among teenagers, but her fans were shocked two months ago when an entertainment magazine carried a picture of the star without makeup and appearing to have bad skin and wrinkles round her eyes. The magazine suggested Chang had gained more than 10 kilograms over a six-month rest period and that she may have been seriously ill.
But Chang looked as good as ever for her Shanghai appearance and brushed off all gossip of illness or weight gain.
She was in Shanghai to attend the unveiling ceremony of a sculpture that will be placed near People's Square until January 9. Made from hundreds of potato crisp containers, the sculpture is of two fists joined in celebration.
