'Chinese Idol'

ONE of the oldest and most successful reality singing competitions, "American Idol," is coming to China. Shanghai-based Dragon TV said yesterday it bought the format and will launch a "Chinese Idol." In the coming month, producers will visit 42 cities in China and abroad to find contestants. Elimination rounds will be aired weekly as of May 19.
