City's first public-interest micro film festival attracted over 300 movies
THE first-ever local public-interest micro film festival would close with a grand awards ceremony on Saturday evening at a film studio of Shanghai Film Group Corporation.
The festival had more than 300 micro movies from home and abroad in competition.
According to the juries of the festival, many of the entries are heartwarming, refined and innovative in cinematography. Most movies take lens at the lives and emotions of grassroots people and cover a wide range of social subjects such as left-behind children in rural areas of China and environmental protection.
Film celebrities including directors Huang Jianxin, Wang Xiaoshuai and actors Huang Bo, Huang Lei and Liu Ye have also submit their micro film productions for the competition.
Tomorrow evening excellent movies will be honored in varied categories of directing, acting, music, cinematography. They will also be displayed for the public.
Co-organized by Shanghai Charity Foundation, Shanghai Film Group Corporation and Shanghai Film Performing Arts Association, the festival will become an annual event in the city.
