‘Culture cloud’ launch kicks off festival

THE fourth Shanghai Citizens’ Art Festival will kick off tomorrow with the launch of a digital cultural service platform, Culture Shanghai Cloud, and interactive cultural events.
The festival, which was launched by the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film and TV in 2013, will offer thousands of cultural events at the city’s 209 community centers and public cultural venues throughout the year.
Officials said that the festival will host a citywide competition featuring ancient Chinese poetry, handicrafts, traditional Chinese opera and cooking.
A wide range of cultural events will be held across the city from tomorrow.
At the Shanghai Mass Art Center, citizens will be treated to domestic and foreign opera classics and interactive workshops.
