Disney Resort work on the up

Underground work at the Shanghai Disney Resort has finished and construction has switched to above the ground, city officials said yesterday.
The Disney project along with another five major construction initiatives in the city are progressing well, an official with the Shanghai Construction and Transport Commission said.
“The city has invested more than 120 billion yuan (US$19.8 billion) on 92 major construction projects across the city in 2013, almost the same as in 2012,” the official said.
Construction of the Hongqiao Commercial Zone in Changning District is at the halfway stage, added the official.
Roads for Qiantan Business Zone in the Pudong New Area are complete.
Major work has begun on Xuhui District’s waterfront area, which aims to be on a par with the Rive Gauche in Paris and London’s South Bank.
