200 students head to Orlando for Disney internship

THE Shanghai Disney Resort yesterday sent some 200 local university students to Orlando in the United States for a training and internship program. The students will be recruited as staff members for the Disney resort in Shanghai.
Each internship will last for two months and the students will be assigned a range of working opportunities from food and beverages and merchandise to park operations at Walt Disney World in Orlando. After completing the internship program, the students will be included in a talent pool for front-line cast member roles at the Shanghai Disney Resort to support the resort’s opening. The students were selected from 14 Chinese local universities and colleges. The resort has recruited a total of 888 local cast members. It is expected to open to the public by late 2015.
