Eagles and Usher to rock Shanghai

TWO of the biggest names in international music - American rock band The Eagles and R'n'B singer Usher - are holding concerts in Shanghai's Mercedes-Benz Arena on March 9 and March 12, respectively. Tickets for both are now available.

Tickets for the band's "Long Road Out of Eden World Tour" concert in Shanghai are priced from 350 yuan (US$53) to 2,580 yuan and Usher's "OMG World Tour" from 280 yuan to 1,280 yuan. Audiences can book tickets online at Piao.com.cn or can call 400-610-3721.

The Eagles - Glenn Fey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit - launched the tour with their hit album "Long Road Out of Eden," in 2007. The band will also perform at Beijing's Wukesong Arena on March 12, after the Shanghai gig.

Usher is no stranger to China and performed in Beijing last year, his first concert in the country. He even thrilled the audience by singing a pop song in Mandarin with Taiwanese singer/songwriter Wong Lee-hom.

So far this year, he has only confirmed Shanghai and Dubai as stops in Asia for his world tour.
