Film festival promises a VR treat
ABOUT 30 virtual reality movies from home and abroad will be shown as part of this year’s Shanghai International Film Festival, which runs from June 11 to 19.
People will be able to experience such things as swimming in the sea, or flying, the organizers said in a press release.
The 19th annual film festival will also include a promotional video for virtual reality starring Chinese actress Tao Hong.
“It is a good chance to promote VR technology,” she said.
Visitors to the showings will also be able to talk to people who work in the VR industry, the press release said.
Tickets for the film festival will be available soon via damai.cn.
