Fireworks spectaculars celebrate National Day
FIREWORKS displays will be held in parks across the city on the eve of National Day on October 1.
Sites for spectators include Century Park in Pudong New Area, Happy Valley and Fangta Garden in Songjiang District, Labor Daily reported today.
The displays will be part of this year's Shanghai Travel Festival which runs from September 12 to October 6.
Landscape lighting will illuminate the Bund as well as some downtown areas, according to Metro Express. LED lights in the Shanghai World Financial Center will also be turned on.
The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel , which is closed for renovation, will remain off-limits for tourists during the holidays.
