Hudec books, materials donated

The Hungarian Consulate in Shanghai yesterday donated 19 tools and books that the legendary architect Laszlo Hudec had used in the city to the Hudec Memorial Museum.
The donations included an architecture reference book that Hudec read for his design, a tape measure that he always carried with him and a piece of color card that has faded, Pal Schmitt, Consul General of Hungary in Shanghai, told the audience at the Architectural Forum of Hungary at the museum.
The donated materials will be exhibited in the museum, or at the former residence of Hudec on Panyu Road in Changning District for a year. Some of the Art Deco buildings designed by Hudec are the Park hotel, the Grand Theater and Moore Memorial Church.
