About 20 prizes will be awarded, ranging from US$1,000 to US$30,000.

Ivan Liska, president of the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich, will be the jury chairman, and the other judges will be Manuel Legris of the Vienna State Ballet, Andris Liepa of the Moscow Grand Theater, Isabel Guerin of the Paris Opera House, Hae Shik Kim of the Korean National University of Arts, and Xin Lili of the Shanghai Ballet, Zhao Ruheng, dancing artistic director of the National Grand Theater, and Dirk Badenhorst, CEO of South Africa International Ballet Competition.

A series of educational programs will be held during the competition, including a ballet summer camp.
