Kung fu fans to enjoy Jackie Chan film feast

THE coming 20th Shanghai International Film Festival, to be held from June 17 to 26 will present Jackie Chan film exhibition for kung fu movie fans, officials said today.

Six representative movies of the action-film legend Chan will be screened during the festival, including "Project A," "Wheels On Meals,” “Police Story,"  "Armour of God," "Miracle" and " Project Eagle."

All these movies were produced from 1983 to 1991, when the Hong Kong cinema was experiencing a golden era. The films also witnessed Chan's decade-spanning career, from Hong Kong hotshot to Hollywood stardom.

The 63-year-old Chan started his film career as an anonymous stunt man. So far he has starred in more than 200 movies, many of which are box office sensation. Last year the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented Chan an Honorary Oscar for his lifetime achievement, making him the first Chinese person to receive such an honor.
