NBA stars lined up to appear in 'Amazing'

RETIRED basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson will star in the Chinese basketball movie "Amazing," officials confirmed yesterday.
Current National Basketball Association stars Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Yao Ming and Yi Jianlian will also be in the film along with pop singer Jay Chou.
The film was scheduled to begin shooting next month in Shanghai, according to its producer Shanghai Film Group Corporation.
"We have also sent invitations to Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal," said Qu Jun, a spokesman for the movie. "We hope they have interest and time to be in it."
The movie tells the story of five Chinese basketball lovers who form a team to compete in an international tournament, where they will compete against an NBA all-star team.
"Amazing" will be directed by Shanghai's Hu Xuehua.
