New domestic animation projects released at CCG Expo
NEW domestic animation projects and productions are released today at the ongoing 2016 CCG Expo, a show of cartoons, comics and games.
With improved techniques and cinematography, eye-catching homegrown animations are on the rise this year.
The 52-episode original Chinese cartoon series "Kimbaland Guardians" will air on nationwide children's TV channels this summer vacation.
Veterans from Ang Lee's survival drama film "Life of Pi" and Japanese cartoon series "One Piece" and "Dragon Ball" were invited to develop its visual effects and script.
The show areas of the cartoon also offer animation photography and workshops, cosplay (costume play) shows and interactive games.
Officials from Shanghai Animation Film Studio announced today that the new sequel of the 1986 classic "Calabash Brothers" will debut on major cartoon TV channels and iQIYI starting Monday.
Over the passing 30 years, the classic has stunned generations of children. New elements will be incorporated into the new sequel.
The studio also revealed that the original puppet series "Avanti" and popular animated series "Big-eared Tutu" will also develop film adaptations.
This year's CCG Expo event will run till Monday at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. Children will learn about the development and diverse styles of animation from all over the world.
