Pop idol Rain to star in 'August Not the End'

South Korean pop idol Rain, Thai heartthrob Pchy and rising mainland actress Tan Songyun were in town this afternoon to promote their new film and TV series projects with Kangxi Pictures.

Rain will star in a romance series "August Not the End," a novel by Li Jie, commonly known as Anni Baobei. Rain will play the leading role in the series about youth love and dream with Chinese actors.

"The character in the story is very charming," said Rain. "I have read the original novel. It is a touching love story."

Pchy will be casted in a suspense comedy film "Jungle Notes." It tells a story of weird things happening to a group of young scriptwriters at a Thai jungle.
