Private museum with old procelains opens in Pudong with free admission
A private museum with some 300 procelains, dated back to hundreds of years ago, has opened in Pudong New Area.
Among the collection are six plates and jars produced during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, which were exhibited at G20 Summit in Hangzhou, said Cai Shiyin, CEO of the newly opened Yucheng Museum located at 17th floor of the Riverside Pyramid building on Pusan Road.
The most precious exhibit is a big jar with 9,999 “shou (longevity)” characters in underglaze blue, which was a gift to Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty when he was 59 years old, said Cai.
The museum offers free admission and QR codes scanning is available in it to allow introduction in Chinese or in English.
