Semifinal round of International Emmy Awards hosted in Shanghai

THE semifinal round of the International Emmy Awards for Best Actress (European area) was hosted today in Shanghai.
A panel of 12 juries from diverse backgrounds, professions and nationalities were engaged in the judging. Among them were American TV producer and scriptwriter David Manson, British director Brendan Foley, Chinese TV producer Wang Leiqing and Hong Kong actor Wallace Chung.
The final announcement of nominees will be released in October, in Cannes, France. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will name this year’s winners during the 45th International Emmy Awards presentation in New York in November.
It is also the second time the Shanghai-based Croton Media collaborates with the awards to co-organize the judging in the city. A series of international exchanges on TV production and innovation were also held to propel the industry.
