'Skyfall' tickets snapped up
TICKET sales for the latest James Bond film, "Skyfall," had a robust start at the city's cinemas yesterday, when the movie was released in Chinese mainland's theaters.
The movie, featuring Shanghai's Bund and high-rises in Lujiazui, had sold 60,000 yuan (US$9,500) in tickets at the Yonghua Cinema yesterday, when it sold out. Tickets for evening screenings were snatched up within hours.
"We have already pre-sold nearly 100,000 yuan in tickets for group screenings this month," said Qiang Jiamiao, a manager at the cinema.
