TV final won't lack for talent
WINNERS and finalists from the "Got Talent" series in Britain and the United States are to perform at the "China's Got Talent" final at the Shanghai Stadium on October 10.
The program will feature Paul Potts, the singer who won "Britain's Got Talent" in 2007, dance group "Diversity," who beat Susan Boyle in last year's program, and "America's Got Talent" finalists "Recycled Percussion."
The Chinese final will be broadcast live from 7:30pm on Dragon TV. The eight finalists include Liu Wei, who plays the piano with his feet, rapper Shou Junchao and singer Zhu Xiaoming. Film maker Chen Kaige, actor Ge You and actress Fan Bingbing will be there to cheer them on.
"China's best talent will be decided by viewers around the country through SMS voting," said a spokesman for the show.
The stadium has a seating capacity of about 80,000 and more than 40,000 tickets have already been sold.
