Tickets to be sold a week before Shanghai International Film Festival

Ticket sales will begin about a week ahead of the upcoming 19th Shanghai International Film Festival, to be held from June 11 to 19 at major local theaters.

The festival will pay tribute to celebrated film artists. Five works of American film director Woody Allen will be showcased.

Among them are "Irrational Man," "Magic in the Moonlight," "To Rome With Love," "Midnight in Paris" and the director's latest offering "Café Society," which was the opening film of this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Around 20 action-packed films from home and abroad will be on display during the Jackie Chan Action Movie Week.

A batch of award-winning films produced by the prestigious Fox Searchlight Pictures will also be exhibited. The movies cover a wide range of genres and they are critically acclaimed. Movie fans will be offered the comedy film "Little Miss Sunshine," suspense film "Black Swan," drama film "Birdman," fantasy film "Waking Life" and biopic film "The Last King of Scotland."
