Time is here to smell the flowers

HERE comes the best time of the year for flower aficionados. Several local parks and gardens, such as the Shanghai Botanical Garden and Century Park, are holding flower exhibitions.
An orchid exhibition is taking place at the Shanghai Botanical Garden through March 12.
In addition to the traditional breeds of orchids, several new varieties are expected to be conspicuous, garden officials said.
In the Pudong New Area, the Century Park is the city's biggest site for wintersweet.
The flower, of red, pink and white, cover more than 50,000 square meters.
Most of the flowers are of artificial grafting, which are of great visual value, according to park officials.
