Fine for flinging flyers
A LOCAL health club has become the first company to be fined for distributing flyers without permission, Shanghai urban management authorities said yesterday.
The authorities said the health club refused to pay the 10,000 yuan (US$1,460) penalty when fined early this month. Eventually the bureau got a court to take action.
The bureau wouldn't name the club.
This year the city published a new regulation saying that distributing flyers without permission in public places will be subject to fines of 10,000 to 100,000 yuan. Painting and posting ads without permission are also banned.
