Going green
SHANGHAI aims to reduce per-GDP energy consumption by 18 percent and cut carbon emissions by 19 percent by the end of 2015, the government said yesterday. The city also will endeavor to massively reduce air pollution over next five years by enhancing the use of green energies and adopting more environmentally friendly production and transport modes, officials said.
