BILLBOARDS drawing people's attention to the need to protect wetland areas are to be installed at major Metro stations, the Shanghai Greenery and Public Sanitation Bureau said yesterday.
Shanghai is home to 27 wetlands with an overall area of 320,000 hectares. The city's wetlands offer the ideal habitat for about hundreds of bird, animal and plant species.
