85% of those found sick in checkups are 25-40 years old

MORE than 85 percent of people diagnosed of diseases in annual health checkups are those aged 25 to 40.
"Unhealthy diet, lack of exercise, high job pressure, fast pace of living and deteriorating environment explain why more young and middle-aged people are prone to diseases that are normally found in old people," said Dr Jiang Weicai with the Xupu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.
Jiang's hospital provided checkup services to more than 6,000 people in Pudong in the past three months. Among them, 12 were diagnosed of cerebral-cardio vascular diseases, 31 with hypertension, nine with diabetes and 18 with cervical vertebra disease. Most of them are young or middle-aged.
