A blood collection vehicle will park inside the Expo site from next Monday to make it convenient for donors to give blood during their visit to pavilions, Shanghai Blood Center said yesterday.
Parked near Gate 6 on Shangnan Road, close to the Expo Axis, the vehicle is one of the activities marking upcoming World Blood Donor Day on June 14 and people are urged to make a blood donation. Center officials said the city needed to collect 6,000 liters of blood this year to supplement 18,000 liters in stock.
