SOME 2,000 people donated 489.2 liters of blood during the three-day New Year holiday from January 1 to 3, 18 percent more than for the same time last year, the Shanghai Blood Administration Office said.
The donation for the first day measured 225.6 liters. The office said blood storage is still limited and encouraged local people to donate this winter.
