SHANGHAI Cord Blood Bank announced yesterday that it had collected 12,992 samples of umbilical cord blood by the end of last year, successfully fulfilling its five-year plan ahead of schedule. The blood bank said it had set a target of 10,000 samples by this year when it started trial operation in 2005.
