Cancer center hits 500 mark

THE Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center in the Pudong New Area accepted its 500th cancer patient yesterday and most patients have responded positively to treatment, the center said.
The center, which opened in May, 2015, was China’s first medical institute equipped with advanced forms of radiotherapy for cancer treatment.
