Child medical center priorities

THE treatment of congenital defects and complicated diseases will be key priorities for the National Children’s Medical Center, which is under construction in Shanghai.
Two leading children’s hospitals are responsible for the center’s two branches — one in Minhang District, the other in the Pudong New Area. They will be completed in 2020.
The Minhang branch will treat babies with complicated diseases, infections and immunities, blood oncology, and study child care and rehabilitation.
Pudong will focus on treatment and research of child leukemia, early development and intervention, and pioneering technologies and therapies.
