City Swine Flu Cases Jump By 8 To Reach 40
SHANGHAI Health Bureau reported eight new swine flu cases yesterday, bringing the city's total to 40.
Seventeen patients have recovered and been released from treatment, while the others remained hospitalized and were in stable condition last night.
Six of the new H1N1 virus victims flew to Shanghai from Australia, one was from Canada and one from the United States.
A nine-year-old Australian boy and a seven-year-old American girl were quarantined at Fudan University's Children's Hospital, while the other victims were being treated at the Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center.
