City's severe swine flu patient released
SHANGHAI'S first severe swine flu patient was released from Shanghai No.1 People's Hospital at 10am today.
Liu Yi, a Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region native, was admitted to the hospital with respiratory failure and multiple organ failure on September 4.
Before his release, the hospital had confirmed that he was free of flu symptoms and tested negative for the virus.
The patient went on to join his family for the Chinese traditional Mid-autumn Festival, which is the time for family reunion.
