Fishbone scare

SWALLOWING a fishbone left a man in a critical condition when it punctured an artery in his throat. He was admitted to hospital last week after vomiting blood.
Doctors at Ruijin Hospital removed the bone and repaired the artery in an eight-hour operation. The man is now in a stable condition, the hospital said yesterday.
