Food license revoked

THE Shanghai Food and Drug Administration revoked Shanghai Xinran Food Co’s license for using expired milk to make yoghurt pudding. The company was also fined 242,796 yuan (US$39,161). Authorities said they confiscated and destroyed 435.2 kilograms of expired chocolate, cheese jam and other foods. The company had transported the items to another warehouse to avoid inspections.
