SHANGHAI will promote three new free public health services this year to screen for colon cancer, screen newborns for diseases, and give pneumonia vaccinations to people over 60, health officials said yesterday.
The city has introduced 42 free health services that include vaccination services, chronic disease prevention and control, children's health care and pregnant women's health care. Local pregnant women can enjoy nine free prenatal physical checkups and one free after-birth check.
