Hospital lab a green pioneer

HUADONG Hospital’s medical lab became the world’s first to receive the Green Laboratory Practices Certification. The lab in the out-patient and emergency department uses environmentally friendly equipment, creating no pollution and reducing electricity use by 75 percent. It shortened the time for a set of biological testing from 90 minutes to 65, improving medical efficiency, said officials.
