Hospital to serve Yangtze Delta
IHH Healthcare and Shanghai Hongxin Medical Investment Holding Co, have broken ground for a 450-bed multi-specialty general hospital located in Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center.
Gleneagles Shanghai is expected to require 1.36 billion yuan (US$200 million) of capital expenditure and is set to open in 2020. It will serve residents in the Yangtze River Delta and beyond.
The hospital will offer a comprehensive range of specialties and health-care services, including cardiology, urology and minimal invasive surgery.
The group opened the 500-bed multi-specialty hospital Gleneagles Hong Kong in March this year, and will open Gleneagles Chengdu next year.
