ZHONGSHAN Hospital became the nation's first to implant a new pacemaker that monitors people's hearts and transmits the information to relevant doctors within five minutes.
Usually a pacemaker patient only receives one check-up a year. The new pacemaker can warn doctors of abnormal heart function for faster intervention.
