Robotic surgery

ROBOTIC surgery has been used on minimally invasive gynecological surgeries at Renji Hospital — one of the first in the country to carry this out. Experts say robotic surgery, in which tools are attached to a robotic arm, can offer a better view to the surgeon and shorten the surgery time. The hospital conducts some 4,000 gynecological surgeries a year, with 85 percent by minimally invasive measure.
