THE Shanghai Health Bureau has launched a campaign for the vaccination of migrant children to coincide with National Children's Vaccination Day on Saturday.
Last year the city administered 4.47 million vaccinations, covering over 99 percent of local children and 95 percent of migrant children. Since offering free vaccination in 1978, the city has eradicated diphtheria and polio and reduced the death rate from infectious diseases.
