LEAF vegetables that can survive high temperatures are being planted locally this week and will be available in city markets in mid August, said the Shanghai Vegetable Seeding Industry Technology Research Center.
But the center says it has developed varieties that can endure 40 degrees Celsius and yield 200 kilograms of produce per hectare.
