11 roads to link to Disney Resort

THE traffic authority of Pudong New Area has planned 11 major roads to transport visitors to the Shanghai Disney Resort. The roads will open to the public by the end of this year, a senior official said yesterday.
The Disney roads include the Shenjiang Road and S2 highways through which visitors can get to the west entrance of the resort. Nanliu, Tanghuang, Hangcheng and Zhoudeng roads will lead to both the west and south gates, said Lu Xuecheng, deputy director with the Pudong New Area Traffic commission.
The middle ring road has also been assigned as a major supporting road for the Disney to distribute traffic flows when large numbers of visitors drive to the resort, Lu said.
Some of them have been in operation while all the highways and roads will open to the public by year end.
