120kph taxi driver suspended

A SHANGHAI taxi company has suspended a cabbie who terrified a passenger by driving at breakneck speeds.

The passenger, a local man surnamed Shen, has had his fare refunded after complaining about the driver's reckless behavior on a trip from Pudong International Airport to downtown.

The cabbie was required to stop business for three days and the company apologized to Shen, said Shanghai Shensheng Taxi Co.

On Thursday, Shen posted his taxi fare receipt online which shows the cabbie drove at an average 120 kilometers per hour to take him home.
