5 injured as cars careen

At least five people were injured in two separate traffic accidents yesterday. In one case, a car of a three-member family overturned on the Middle Ring Road about 9am, when trying to avoid hitting a car in front of it. The three, on their way to the suburbs for tomb sweeping, were bruised.
Earlier, two people were injured and three vehicles damaged on the Inner Ring Road near the Hutai Road ramp. A car traveling too fast bumped into the concrete separation barrier and overturned, knocking loose part of the barrier, which hit another car that overturned, which was then hit by a third car. One driver suffered a severe chest wound. Another suffered light injuries. The accident halted traffic for about an hour.
