After-school help

All local public primary schools will be asked to open free after-school classes this year to tackle the problem of working parents being unable to pick up their children on time, the Shanghai Education Commission said yesterday. About 90 percent of the public primary schools have opened such classes with volunteer teachers and parents to look after children from 3:30pm to 5pm.
