Airlines cancel flights
AIRLINES have canceled nearly all flights to Taiwan and some southeast Chinese cities last night due to Super Typhoon Dujuan.
China Eastern and Shanghai Airlines said it had canceled all 16 flights from Shanghai to Taipei yesterday.
Spring Airlines canceled seven flights to and from Quanzhou and Xiamen in southeast Fujian Province.
China Southern also canceled two flights between Shanghai and Taipei.
More flights are expected to be canceled today as the typhoon makes a landfall on the mainland. Juneyao Airlines have also announced the cancelation of flights.
Shanghai Railway also canceled 31 trains from Hongqiao station to Xiamen, Fuzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, while adding 11 trains to Wenzhou, Quzhou, Jiangshan and Nanjing.
