IT will be cloudy and overcast today, sunny but also rainy tomorrow and Thursday, and cooler and wetter on Friday and Saturday.
Yesterday saw a slight rise in temperatures, with a high of 25 degrees Celsius. The pleasant conditions will remain today, according to Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
Tomorrow and Thursday will see temperatures as high as 26 degrees, but the rain will return. Later on Friday, a cold front, expected to be the strongest since Shanghai entered autumn on October 8, is forecast.
Mercury is set to plummet, with the highest temperature falling below 20 degrees. It will be windy, too.
Sunday should see a break from the rain — good news for Shanghai International Marathon runners and spectators.
