A NEW thoroughfare across six districts in the north of the city received approval yesterday. The Beiheng Passage is intended to ease pressure on other elevated roads and reduce congestion. The first phase of the east-to-west road is expected to stretch almost 19 kilometers, connecting the Middle Ring Road in Changning District to the Inner Ring Road in Yangpu District.
