Automatic Control To Improve Metro Rides
AN automatic system to control train movement will be introduced on the Metro in June, bringing a safer and more comfortable riding experience, Ying Minghong, an official with Metro management, said yesterday.
It will be first applied on Metro Line 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, increasing accuracy in maintaining set distances between trains and reducing the chances of abrupt braking and acceleration, which, common on current services, cause discomfort and bring risk of injuries.
