Brighter later this week
THIS week is set to have a rainy and cool start, but with a dry and warmer end, forecasters said yesterday.
The arrival of a cold front will see temperatures of 26 degrees Celsius today, and yesterday’s blue skies replaced by cloud and showers during the first the three days of the week, said the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
But from Thursday, Shanghai will be under the control of a high pressure front and see a return of clear skies.
While the high will stay below 27 degrees tomorrow and Wednesday, it will creep up to 29 degrees on Thursday, said forecasters.
Warmer conditions are set to continue through the weekend.
Excellent air conditions are forecast for today, said the Shanghai Environmental Monitoring Center.
